Spotted by André Téchiné, Grégoire Leprince-Ringuet got his first role in Strayed, alongside Emmanuelle Béart and Gaspard Ulliel. His performance was noticed and rewarded with a nomination for the César for Best Young Actor.
Then considered one of the rising stars of French cinema, he was directed in 2007 by Nicole Garcia in Charlie Says. His looks, both shy and polite, often hiding a profound sensitivity, were fully taken advantage of in Love Songs by Christophe Honoré, for which he received a new César nomination. His collaboration with the director was renewed in 2008 with The Beautiful Person, a modern transposition of The Princess of Clèves.
In 2010, he was present twice at the Festival de Cannes: in competition with the latest film by Bertrand Tavernier The Princess of Montpensier and out of competition in The Other World by Gilles Marchand. That same year marked his first appearance as a headliner in Stranded, a fantastic adventure during the war in Algeria, from the duo Hugues and Sandra Martin.
In 2015, he directs his first feature film, Fool Moon, in which he stars alongside Pauline Caupenne and Amandine Truffy.
