Mathieu Amalric

Born in France, in 1965. He did technical, off-camera jobs in films by Peter Handke, João César Monteiro and Louis Malle, among others. He has a versatile and extensive curriculum as an actor, having collaborated with filmmakers such as Roman Polanski, Wes Anderson, David Cronenberg and Sofia Coppola. He made his feature film debut with Mange ta Soupe (1997). He is one of the most prestigious French actors today and one of the most interesting directors in contemporary French cinema.
