Clara e Laura Laperrousaz
Clara Laperrousaz was born in Paris in 1980. She studied Philosophy. The master (first class Honours) she wrote was on Nietzsche. She started to direct with her sister Laura video-art films, then short feature films. She wrote three plays for theatre. She has been selected at the Berlinale Talent Campus 2011.
Laura Laperrousaz was born in Paris in 1983. She graduated from the National Fine Arts Academy of Paris in 2009. She started to direct with her sister Clara video-art films, then short feature films. She wrote a play for theatre.
They co-directed an experimental feature, written by Clara, while doing an art residency at the Centquatre-Paris. In 2013 they have co-written and co-directed the middle-length Retenir les Ciels, starring Lolita Chammah. Soleil Battant is their first feature film.
