The Parisian publisher Alain tries his best to adapt to the new world, increasingly dominated by technology. And so does everyone else around him, starting with his actress wife Selena, stuck in a popular series she doesn’t find all that fulfilling, and his long-time, “worst-selling” author Léonard, suddenly forced to comment not so much on his new navel-gazing novels as the Twitter wars that seem to follow him wherever he goes.

Director and screenwriter, Olivier Assayas is one of the most important authors of the french cinema post-Nouvelle Vague. He was a film critic of Cahiers du Cinéma, where he was part of the editorial team. After a collaboration with André Téchiné, he directed his first movie, Désordre, in 1986 (that won an award at Venice Film Festival). His films, more than thirty, including films and TV shows, have been selected to the major film festivals worldwide and have received numerous awards. Assayas will attend LEFFEST to present his mini-TV show Irma Vep, his most recent work.
