Chela and Chiquita have been a couple for a very long time. Over the years they have become adapted to a fixed allocation of roles. However, financial difficulties force them to sell some of their inherited furniture, each part of which is a beloved piece of memorabilia. When Chiquita is sent to prison for debt, Chela is suddenly left on her own.

Marcelo Martinessi

Marcelo Martinessi was born in 1973, in Asunción, Paraguay. He is a director and writer, known for Karai Norte (2009), The Lost Voice (2016) and The Heiresses (2018). Martinessi has also researched on the relationship between cinema and literature, adapting short stories. His work has been shown at the Berlinale, Locarno and many other festivals, winning several international awards.
