Boris Barnet

Boris Barnet (1902-1965) was a Soviet director, actor and screenwriter of British origin. He directed twenty-seven films and in particular three works of social satire, including The House on Trubnaya, which contributed to make Barnet the main Soviet director of comedy, although he also directed dramas and thrillers. Noteworthy in his satirical work is his special feel for human behavior.
