Monsaingeon sits down with Sviatoslav Richter, one of the greatest pianists of all time, to listen to his story, thus breaking the lifelong silence of an artist who continually refused to be interviewed. Through unseen, captivating, unexpected images and accounts, the life of a musical genius is unraveled: from his wild childhood, to encounters with other great artists, as well as his debuting career in a terrorising, conflictual Soviet Union.
