A woman, a suitcase and a dog. As she waits for her ex-lover to come pick these up, an emotional turmoil rises inside her mind, bursting and pouring out into all sorts of heartbroken states and moods. From rage to despair, she faces the pain and grief of abandonment, having as her only companion a dog that has also lost its master. Based upon the monodrama of the same name written by Jean Cocteau in 1928, this highly anticipated short film joins the unique oeuvre of auteur director Pedro Almódovar in its tragically eccentric nature and contrasted tones that never leave a big red splatter out of the carefully framed picture.
