Lisa and Simon have been inseparable since their teens. Young, beautiful and in love, everything seems too perfect to be true. However, a tragedy caused by Simon's illicit activities ends their relationship. Three years later, they meet again when Lisa goes on vacation, with her husband, to an island in the Indian Ocean.

Born in 1946, Nicole Garcia is a French actress, director and screenwriter. As an actress, she collaborated with important filmmakers such as Alain Resnais and Claude Miller, starting her career as a director later, in 1990, with the film Every Other Weekend. From her filmography, the following stand out: The Favourite Son (1994), The Adversary (2002), Charlie Says (2006) and From the Land of the Moon (2016) - the latter three were part of the Official Selection of the Cannes Film Festival.
