A man falls from a mountain peak to his death. Hae-Joon is appointed as the detective of this mysterious case. While investigating the case, Hae-Joon meets Seo-Rae. She is the former wife of the deceased man. The detective considers her a suspect but, due to her mysterious personality, finds himself developing an interest in her. As the case progresses the two characters become closer. But while she continues to hide her true emotions, Hae-Joon keeps to be impelled to her.

Park Chan-Wook was born in South Korea in 1963. He began by studying Philosophy at the Sogang university, where he created the Sogang Film Community and began writing reviews about contemporary Ocidental cinema . His initial intent was to become a movie critic and only in the 1990s he began his work as a filmmaker. His diverse body of work has garnered recognition both at his home country and internationally. These include his successes at the Festival de Cannes in 2004 with the prestigious Grand Prix for Oldboy and the Jury Prize for Thirst in 2009. His new film Decision to Leave was awarded the prize for Best Director at this year's Cannes Film Festival and will be screening at the LEFFEST’22.
