24 hours in a Portuguese airport. Of all the passengers on her plane, Maria, a Ukrainian woman, is the only one to be detained and interrogated. Sérgio Tréfaut

Sérgio Tréfaut was born in Brazil in 1965. After completing a Master’s degree in Philosophy at the Sorbonne (Paris), he started work in Lisbon as a journalist. His career evolved from there to his eventually becoming a producer and a prize-winning director of documentaries and feature films screened in more than 50 countries. Sérgio Tréfaut has been on the board of the EDN (European Documentary Network), and co-founded Doclisboa International Film Festival, which he directed between 2004 and 2010.
