Halim is married to Mina, with whom he has long run a caftan shop in the Moroccan city of Salé. She attends their customers, and he is a maalem, an exquisite tailler, one of the last ones to practice the sensible art of brodery and hand sewing. Between them there is a secret, something not-spoken, and, in that conservative life, Halim keeps his most intimate wishes inside. But a serious illness and the arrival of a young apprentice will break the couple’s balance. United by a deep love, Halim and Mina will help each other to overcome their fears. In a very sensible way, Touzani reveals all these secrets, as Halim creates a very delicate oil blue caftan, embroidered in golden thread.
