The son of a famous Nazi fillmmaker shoots a movie where he meets the former city commander of Vilna, a man who ordered the killing of thousands of people. The film is a documentary made during the shooting of Thomas Harlan`s Wundkanal (1985).
This film is preceded by the screening of Wundkanal, in a double session dedicated to "German guilt": the first is born from the search for redemption from the feeling of guilt of having been born the son of Veit Harlan, director of the well-known Nazi anti-Semitic propaganda film Jud Süss ; and the second on Harlan's alleged impossibility of admitting culpability – in addition to his announced inability to admit that impossibility.
